To be eligible for assistance under the 2+2 Transfer Scholarship Program, an applicant shall:

1. A. Be a Maryland resident;
2. B. Be currently enrolled at a community college in Maryland;
3. C. Maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale while a student at a community college in Maryland;
4. D. Have earned an associate’s degree from a community college in Maryland by the end of the semester in which the applicant plans to transfer;
5. E. Be accepted for admission to a degree program at a public senior higher education institution or a private nonprofit institution of higher education in Maryland;
6. F. Intend to enroll in a public senior higher education institution or a private nonprofit institution of higher education in Maryland in order to complete a bachelor’s program;
7. G. On or after the fall semester of 2014, enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student in a public senior higher education institution or a private nonprofit institution of higher education in Maryland by the fall semester following completion of the associate’s degree;
8. H. In the case of an individual who is required to register with the Selective Service System, have complied with the registration requirement;
9. I. Timely file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form; and
10. J. Have demonstrated financial need.
