1. A. The purpose of this subtitle is to establish requirements for the identification, approval, and operation of large family child care homes.

2. B. Scope. This subtitle:

   1. (1) Governs child care provided to children for less than 24 hours a day in a private residence that is:

      1. (a) Not the child's own home; and
      2. (b) Approved, or proposed for approval, by the office for a maximum child care capacity of 9 to 12 children; and
   2. (2) Does not apply to a family child care provider or a family child care home currently registered pursuant to COMAR 13A.15.
