1. A. Each local board of education and noncollegiate educational institution shall take reasonable measures to implement this chapter.

2. B. Each local board of education shall certify annually in writing to the State Superintendent of Schools that:

   1. (1) The local board has provided notice to:

      1. (a) Principals, teachers, and other school personnel in the school system of the requirements set forth in this chapter;
      2. (b) Children in State-supervised care and responsible adults acting on behalf of children in State-supervised care of the rights set forth in this chapter; and
      3. (c) Other interested parties of the requirements and rights set forth in this chapter; and
   2. (2) The local board is in compliance with the requirements of this chapter.
3. C. The State Superintendent of Schools shall require a local board to take corrective action for failure to comply with the requirements of this chapter.
