1. A. An evaluation of an individual required by this chapter for an instructor classification shall be:

   1. (1) Conducted on a separate occasion from other evaluations of the individual who is being evaluated;
   2. (2) Conducted by an individual who meets the requirements of this chapter or COMAR 12.10.06;
   3. (3) Conducted while the individual being evaluated provides instruction for a course that is approved by the Commission or the Correctional Training Commission;
   4. (4) Based on the personal observations, for a minimum of 1 hour, of the individual conducting the evaluation; and
   5. (5) Recorded, by the individual conducting the evaluation, on a form approved by the Commission.
2. B. An individual may not conduct the individual’s own instructor classification evaluation.
3. C. The Commission may consider an unsatisfactory evaluation or commentary by an evaluator as grounds to deny instructor certification.
