1. A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

2. B. Terms Defined.

   1. (1) “Golf cart” means a small, four-wheeled vehicle powered by a gasoline or electric motor with:

      1. (a) Seating designed to carry more than one occupant;
      2. (b) A maximum capable speed of not more than 20 miles per hour;
      3. (c) A windshield; and
      4. (d) A steering wheel.

   2. (2) “Golf cart” does not mean:

      1. (a) A motor vehicle as defined in Transportation Article, §11-135, Annotated Code of Maryland;
      2. (b) A low-speed vehicle as defined in Transportation Article, §11-130.1, Annotated Code of Maryland;
      3. (c) An off highway recreational vehicle as defined in Transportation Article, §11-140.1, Annotated Code of Maryland; or
      4. (d) A motor vehicle capable of being registered as any other vehicle classification under the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
