In order to be licensed under this subtitle, a psychiatric day treatment program (PDTP) shall:

1. A. Provide short-term, intensive, day or evening mental health treatment and support services for individuals who do not require 24-hour care;
2. B. Focus on the amelioration of an individual’s acute psychiatric symptoms; and

3. C. Be medically supervised and staffed by a multidisciplinary treatment team that includes, at a minimum:

   1. (1) A psychiatrist; and
   2. (2) A registered nurse.
