A. Subject to the provisions of this section, the Board may impose the following sanctions and penalties for violations of the Maryland Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionists Act and its regulations according to the minimum and maximum sanctions and penalties set forth as follows:

| (1) Continuing education | Reprimand | Active suspension for 1 year and $1,000 fine |
| (2) Criminal convictions or pleads nolo contendre | Reprimand | Revocation and $5,000 fine |
| (3) Noncompliance with previous Board order | Reprimand | Active suspension for 2 years and $5,000 fine |
| (4) Fails to meet accepted standards of practice | Reprimand | Revocation and $5,000 fine |
| (5) Impairment (mentally, physically, or through the use of drugs or alcohol) | Probation | Denial of a license application or revocation and $5,000 fine |
| (6) Fraud | Reprimand | Denial of a license application or revocation and $5,000 fine |
| (7) Reciprocal discipline | Reprimand | Denial of a license application or revocation and $5,000 fine |
| (8) Sexual misconduct | Active suspension for 1 year | Revocation and $5,000 fine |
| (9) Unprofessional conduct in the practice of dietetics | Reprimand | Revocation and $5,000 fine |
| (10) Aiding the unauthorized practice of dietetics | Reprimand | Active suspension for 1 year and $1,000 fine |
| (11) Performing the unauthorized practice of dietetics | $0 | $5,000 fine |
