1. A. The Council shall:

   1. (1) Provide guidance to the Secretary on Statewide chronic disease prevention and control;
   2. (2) Direct the priorities and work of the committees; and

   3. (3) Promote evidence-based programs for:

      1. (a) Healthy lifestyles; and
      2. (b) The prevention, early detection, and treatment of chronic disease.
2. B. The Council shall submit a report of its activities to the Secretary on or before December 31, 2019 and every 2 years thereafter.
