1. A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

2. B. Terms Defined.

   1. (1) “Board” means the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners.

   2. (2) “Conditions” means requirements in a public or nonpublic order that a licensee or certificate holder must satisfy which include but are not limited to:

      1. (a) Treatment and counseling for an emotional or physical illness;
      2. (b) Submission to drug and alcohol testing;
      3. (c) Abstinence from specified drugs;
      4. (d) Abstinence from alcohol;
      5. (e) Remedial training;
      6. (f) Inspection;
      7. (g) Monitoring;
      8. (h) Evaluation;
      9. (i) Supervision;
      10. (j) Testing of clinical skills;
      11. (k) Submission of written reports;
      12. (l) A demonstration of knowledge or competency;
      13. (m) Limitation of practice;
      14. (n) Limitation on the administration or prescription of specified drugs to patients;
      15. (o) The provision of pro bono dental care to the poor, elderly, or disabled;
      16. (p) Obeyance of dental laws, including federal, State, and local laws;
      17. (q) An anonymous monetary donation; and
      18. (r) The payment of a civil penalty.
   3. (3) “Conduct” means behavior or action, or a failure to behave or act, that results in a violation of the Maryland Dentistry Act or the regulations adopted by the Board.
