To qualify for a volunteer dentist's license, a dentist who has passed a regional board as defined in Health Occupations Article, §4-306(a)(3), Annotated Code of Maryland, shall:
- A. Be of good moral character;
- B. Be 18 years old or older;
C. Hold a Degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery, Doctor of Dental Medicine, or the equivalent from a college or university that is:
- (1) Authorized by any state or province of Canada to grant the degree; and
(2) Recognized by the Board as:
- (a) Requiring adequate preprofessional collegiate training; and
- (b) Maintaining an acceptable course of dental instruction;
- D. Pass the NERB dental written examinations;
- E. Pass the Maryland Jurisprudence Examination on the Maryland State Dental Law;
- F. Hold an active license to practice dentistry in another state or in the District of Columbia;
- G. Meet the qualifications otherwise required for a general license to practice dentistry by Health Occupations Article, Title 4, Annotated Code of Maryland;
- H. Complete the continuing education requirements for an active general license to practice dentistry; and
- I. Provide dental services as set forth in Regulation .11 of this chapter.
