1. A. The Board approves for credit any course or program that:

   1. (1) Satisfies all eligibility criteria in Regulations .06 and .07 of this chapter; and

   2. (2) Is sponsored by any one of the following entities:

      1. (a) An accredited dental school;
      2. (b) An accredited dental hygiene school;
      3. (c) The American Dental Association;
      4. (d) The National Dental Association;
      5. (e) The American Dental Hygienists' Association;
      6. (f) The National Dental Hygiene Association;
      7. (g) The American Medical Association;
      8. (h) The American Hospital Association;
      9. (i) The American Heart Association;
      10. (j) The American Red Cross;
      11. (k) The American Society of Dentistry for Children;
      12. (l) Any American Dental Association recognized specialty society;
      13. (m) The Academy of General Dentistry;
      14. (n) The Veterans Administration;
      15. (o) The United States uniformed services;
      16. (p) The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services;
      17. (q) The Maryland Department of Health;
      18. (r) Any American Medical Association recognized specialty society;
      19. (s) The Mid-Atlantic PANDA Coalition; and
      20. (t) Any constituent or component organization of the groups in §A(2)(a)—(s) of this regulation.

2. B. The Board approves for credit any course or program that is designed to enhance the licensee’s clinical knowledge and ability to treat dental patients and is approved by any one of the following credentialing agencies:

   1. (1) The American Dental Association Commission for Continuing Education Recognition Program (CERP);
   2. (2) The Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE);
   3. (3) The American Association of Dental Boards Accredited Continuing Education Program (ACE); and
   4. (4) The American Academy of Dental Hygiene (AADH).
