1. A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

2. B. Terms Defined.

   1. (1) “Board” means the State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Music Therapists.
   2. (2) “Conditions” means requirements in a public order that a licensee is required to satisfy.

   3. (3) “License” means a license issued by the Board to:

      1. (a) Practice audiology;
      2. (b) Practice hearing aid dispensing;
      3. (c) Practice speech-language pathology;
      4. (d) Practice music therapy; or
      5. (e) Assist in the practice of speech-language pathology or audiology.

   4. (4) “Licensee” means an individual licensed by the Board to:

      1. (a) Practice audiology;
      2. (b) Practice hearing aid dispensing;
      3. (c) Practice speech-language pathology;
      4. (d) Practice music therapy; or
      5. (e) Assist in the practice of speech-language pathology or audiology.
   5. (5) “Penalty” means a monetary penalty.
   6. (6) “Sanction” means a formal disciplinary action against a licensee such as a reprimand, probation, suspension, or revocation.
