- A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.
B. Terms Defined.
- (1) “Board” means the State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Music Therapists.
- (2) “Conditions” means requirements in a public order that a licensee is required to satisfy.
(3) “License” means a license issued by the Board to:
- (a) Practice audiology;
- (b) Practice hearing aid dispensing;
- (c) Practice speech-language pathology;
- (d) Practice music therapy; or
- (e) Assist in the practice of speech-language pathology or audiology.
(4) “Licensee” means an individual licensed by the Board to:
- (a) Practice audiology;
- (b) Practice hearing aid dispensing;
- (c) Practice speech-language pathology;
- (d) Practice music therapy; or
- (e) Assist in the practice of speech-language pathology or audiology.
- (5) “Penalty” means a monetary penalty.
- (6) “Sanction” means a formal disciplinary action against a licensee such as a reprimand, probation, suspension, or revocation.
