An institution of higher education shall:

1. A. Inform an individual or the parent or guardian of an individual younger than 18 years old of the requirement for meningococcal vaccination at the time the individual:

   1. (1) Is accepted for admission to an institution of higher education; or
   2. (2) Registers for classes, if the individual is not required to apply for admission before registering for courses;

2. B. Include notice of the requirement for meningococcal vaccination in:

   1. (1) Admission acceptance information;
   2. (2) Student health-related information and materials;
   3. (3) Resident life information and materials;
   4. (4) The student handbook; and
   5. (5) The college catalog; and

3. C. Provide detailed information to an individual who resides or may reside in on-campus student housing or the parent or guardian of an individual younger than 18 years old who resides or may reside in on-campus student housing concerning:

   1. (1) The risks associated with meningococcal disease; and
   2. (2) The availability and effectiveness of meningococcal vaccine.
