Dogwood Harbor encompasses the area beginning at the northeast corner of Avalon Island at or near Lat. 38° 42.555' N., Long. 76° 19.778' W., then running 29° (True) to Dogwood Harbor LT 2, at or near Lat. 38° 42.588' N., Long. 76° 19.755' W., then running 327° (True) to the shore near Wharf Road at or near Lat. 38° 42.790' N., Long. 76° 19.920' W., and running to the head of the harbor. This area has a 6-knot speed limit during the boating season only.
