1. A. Permit Required.

   1. (1) Except as provided in §A(2) of this regulation, an individual shall obtain a permit from the Natural Resources Police prior to sponsoring or holding a marine gathering.
   2. (2) A permit is not required if the marine gathering will last less than 3 hours.

2. B. Permit Application. Prior to sponsoring or holding a marine gathering, an individual shall:

   1. (1) Apply for a permit by submitting a completed application on a form provided by the Department; and
   2. (2) Submit a nonrefundable application fee of $100.
3. C. Timing of Application. An application for a permit shall be submitted to the Department not later than 45 days before the event.
4. D. Possession of Permit. A permit holder shall have the permit in possession for the duration of the event.
