1. (a) The salary schedules set for assessors under § 2-109 of this subtitle shall provide an appropriate incentive to encourage assessors to achieve the designation of certified assessment evaluator.
2. (b) A county may not provide a salary supplement or any other fringe benefit for an assessor.
