1. (a) The Trust shall retain an architect as a consultant.

2. (b) The consultant must:

   1. (1) be registered by the State Board of Architects;
   2. (2) be familiar with all phases of 18th century architecture; and
   3. (3) have the professional experience that is needed to restore the State House in a way that befits its majestic history and its current role as the Capitol.
3. (c) The consultant is entitled to the compensation provided in the State budget.

4. (d) The consultant shall:

   1. (1) prepare measured drawings of the State House;
   2. (2) publish the drawings and a descriptive text;
   3. (3) send copies of the drawings to the National Trust for Historic Preservation; and
   4. (4) subject to § 2-1257 of this article, submit to the General Assembly a report on the drawings.
