1. (a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
2. (b) “Administration” means the Maryland Energy Administration.
3. (c) “Advisory Committee” means the Maryland Offshore Wind Business Development Advisory Committee established under § 9-20C-02 of this subtitle.
4. (d) “Director” means the Director of the Maryland Energy Administration.
5. (e) “Emerging business” means a business that is at least 51% owned and controlled by an individual or individuals who are certified to have a personal net worth, as defined in § 14-301 of the State Finance and Procurement Article, that does not exceed $6,500,000 as adjusted each year for inflation according to the Consumer Price Index.
6. (f) “Fund” means the Maryland Offshore Wind Business Development Fund established under § 9-20C-03 of this subtitle.
7. (g) “Minority” means an individual who is a member of any of the groups listed in § 14-301(k)(1)(i) of the State Finance and Procurement Article.
