1. (a) In accordance with the provisions of the State Personnel and Pensions Article, the Secretary may appoint and remove superintendents to supervise designated improvements, grounds, and multiservice centers under the jurisdiction of the Department, including those in Annapolis and Baltimore City.
2. (b) A superintendent shall perform the duties delegated by the Secretary.
3. (c) A superintendent is entitled to compensation in accordance with the State budget.
