1. (a) In order to become more financially self-sufficient, an ethnic affairs unit:

   1. (1) may receive funds from any person or organization; and
   2. (2) may not receive funds either directly or indirectly from the use of any gaming device or raised through a gaming event or activity.
2. (b) An ethnic affairs unit receiving funds under this section shall be subject to audit by the Legislative Auditor as provided in § 2-1220 of the State Government Article.
