1. (a)

   1. (1) The governing body of Dorchester County may adopt regulations concerning maintaining and operating public docks, piers, wharves, and harbor facilities owned or leased by the county.

   2. (2) A regulation adopted under this subsection may include provisions related to:

      1. (i) permits;
      2. (ii) berths;
      3. (iii) mooring;
      4. (iv) swimming;
      5. (v) trash disposal and removal; and
      6. (vi) sunken vessels.
2. (b) The governing body of Dorchester County may adopt penalties for a violation of a regulation adopted under this section, including imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding $500 or both.
