Verification of application and issuance of license

(a)
- (1) The governing body of a county shall verify the statements made by the applicant in the application for the transient vendor license.
(2)
- (i) If the application contains a false statement, the governing body may deny the license.
- (ii) If the license is denied, the governing body shall refund the license fee, less administrative costs.
(b)
(1) The governing body of a county shall issue a transient vendor license within 20 days after the application is filed if:
- (i) the governing body approves the application and surety bond; and
- (ii) the license fee is paid.
(2) The license shall:
- (i) be effective for the duration and term applied for in the application not to exceed a period of 1 year; and
- (ii) terminate automatically.
