1. (1) the municipality may double the fine to an amount not exceeding $1,000; and
2. (2) the court may enter judgment against the defendant in the amount then due if the proper demand for judgment on affidavit has been made.

If the defendant does not pay the fine as provided in the citation and does not appear in District Court as provided in the summons:
