1. (a) The park police:

   1. (1) possess all the powers and authority vested by existing law in the Montgomery County and Prince George's County police;
   2. (2) are responsible to and under the supervision of the Commission; and
   3. (3) shall exercise supervisory jurisdiction over the park system.

2. (b) The park police shall:

   1. (1) prevent crime;
   2. (2) apprehend criminals;
   3. (3) enforce the criminal and motor vehicle laws of the State;
   4. (4) enforce park regulations; and
   5. (5) perform other related duties that the Commission imposes.
