1. (a)

   1. (1) Each member of the Commission shall devote full time to the duties of office.

   2. (2) While on the Commission, a member may not:

      1. (i) practice law;
      2. (ii) hold any political employment under State or federal law; or
      3. (iii) hold any other position or engage in any business that interferes or is inconsistent with any duty of office.

2. (b)

   1. (1) Each member of the Commission is entitled to:

      1. (i) the salary provided in the State budget; and
      2. (ii) reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel Regulations,¹ as provided in the State budget.

   2. (2) The annual salary of a member of the Commission:

      1. (i) shall at least equal the salary provided in the State budget for a judge of the district court; and
      2. (ii) for the Chairman, shall be at least $1,500 more than the salary of the other members.
   3. (3) Except as provided in paragraphs (1) and (2) of this subsection, a member of the Commission may not receive a fee or perquisite for the discharge of any duty of office.
