1. (a) To qualify for a license, an applicant shall be an individual who meets the requirements of this section.

2. (b) The applicant shall:

   1. (1) Be of good moral character; and
   2. (2) Be at least 18 years old.

3. (c) The applicant shall:

   1. (1)

      1. (i) Be a board certified music therapist; and

      2. (ii) Provide proof:

         1. 1. A. Of passing the examination for board certification offered by the Certification Board for Music Therapists or any successor organization; or

            1. B. Of being transitioned into board certification; and
         2. 2. That the applicant is currently a board certified music therapist;

   2. (2) Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in music therapy, or its equivalent, including clinical training, from an educational program that is:

      1. (i) Approved by the American Music Therapy Association or any successor organization; and
      2. (ii) Within an accredited college or university;
   3. (3) Be in good standing based on a review of the applicant's music therapy licensure, certification, or registration history in other jurisdictions, including a review of any disciplinary actions in the practice of music therapy; and
   4. (4) Meet any other requirements established by the Board.
