Physician assistant’s performance during a disaster

- (a) A physician assistant who is licensed in this State or in any other state or who is an employee of the federal government is authorized to perform acts, tasks, or functions as a physician assistant during a disaster as defined by the Governor, within a county in which a state of disaster has been declared, or counties contiguous to a county in which a state of disaster has been declared.
- (b) The physician assistant shall notify the Board in writing of the names, practice locations, and telephone numbers for the physician assistant within 30 days after the first performance of medical acts, tasks, or functions as a physician assistant during the disaster.
- (c) A team of physicians and physician assistants or physician assistants practicing under this section may not be required to maintain on-site documentation describing collaboration agreements as otherwise required under this title.
