1. (a) A person that violates any provision of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to:

   1. (1) A fine not exceeding $100 for the first offense; and
   2. (2) A fine not exceeding $500 for each subsequent conviction for a violation of the same provision.
2. (b) Each day on which a violation occurs is a separate violation under this section.
