1. (a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

2. (b) “Fallen transportation worker” means an individual:

   1. (1) Whose occupation is in the construction, rehabilitation, or operation of a transportation facility or transportation facilities project in the State; and
   2. (2) Who died, on or after January 1, 2022, as a result of an accident occurring while the individual was performing any job duty necessary for the construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, or operation of a transportation facility or transportation facilities project in the State.
3. (c) “Fund” means the Fallen Transportation Workers Scholarship Fund.
4. (d) “Program” means the Fallen Transportation Workers Scholarship Program.
5. (e) “Transportation facility” has the meaning stated in § 3-101 of the Transportation Article.
6. (f) “Transportation facilities project” has the meaning stated in § 4-101 of the Transportation Article.
