1. (a) There is a Criminal Justice Information System Central Repository in the Department.

2. (b) The Secretary:

   1. (1) has administrative control of the Central Repository; and
   2. (2) shall operate the Central Repository with the advice of the Advisory Board.

3. (c)

   1. (1) The Central Repository is the official State repository for criminal history record information.

   2. (2) The Central Repository:

      1. (i) shall maintain and disseminate criminal history record information required under this subtitle; and
      2. (ii) may maintain a repository of fingerprints, latent prints, palm prints, photographs, or other such identification submitted to the Central Repository as determined by the Secretary.
