False Imprisonment by Incarcerated Individual

  1. (a) An incarcerated individual may not falsely imprison an individual who:

    1. (1) is employed by a correctional facility;
    2. (2) performs volunteer work for a correctional facility;
    3. (3) performs duties in a correctional facility by virtue of federal, State, or local government employment; or
    4. (4) performs duties in a correctional facility by virtue of a contract with a local government or the federal or State government.
  2. (b)

    1. (1) An incarcerated individual who violates this section is guilty of a felony and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 30 years.
    2. (2) A sentence imposed under this section may not be suspended.
