1. (a) With respect to any claim, a member of the Board may:

   1. (1) administer oaths; and

   2. (2) issue subpoenas to compel:

      1. (i) the attendance of witnesses; and
      2. (ii) the production of pertinent records or documents.

2. (b) The Board may petition a circuit court for an order of contempt against a person who refuses to:

   1. (1) comply with a subpoena issued by a Board member;
   2. (2) comply with a request by a Board member to be sworn to an oath; or
   3. (3) answer as a witness before the Board.
