1. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, a corporation, partnership, or limited liability company shall hold a permit issued by the Board before the corporation, partnership, or limited liability company may operate a business through which land surveying or property line surveying is practiced.
2. (b) A corporation, partnership, or limited liability company may provide land surveying or property line surveying services for itself or for an affiliated corporation, partnership, or limited liability company without a permit issued by the Board.
