1. (a)

   1. (1) In this section the following words have the meanings indicated.
   2. (2) “Commission” means the Ocean City Convention Hall Commission.

   3. (3) “Organization” includes the following types of nonprofit organizations:

      1. (i) armed services;
      2. (ii) charitable;
      3. (iii) civic;
      4. (iv) employees;
      5. (v) firefighters;
      6. (vi) fraternal;
      7. (vii) governmental-support;
      8. (viii) hospital;
      9. (ix) labor;
      10. (x) patriotic;
      11. (xi) political;
      12. (xii) professional;
      13. (xiii) religious;
      14. (xiv) trade; and
      15. (xv) war veterans.

2. (b) With the approval of the Commission, the Board may allow the members and guests of an organization to bring their own alcoholic beverages onto the premises of the Ocean City Convention Hall without first obtaining a license if:

   1. (1) the alcoholic beverages are not sold; and
   2. (2) the consumption of the alcoholic beverages is restricted to the premises.

3. (c) With the approval of the Commission, the Board may allow the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City or their designee to sponsor a function at which patrons are allowed to bring their own alcoholic beverages onto the premises of the Ocean City Convention Hall without first obtaining a license if:

   1. (1) the alcoholic beverages are not sold; and
   2. (2) the consumption of the alcoholic beverages is on the premises only.
