1. (a)

   1. (1) On the death of a married license holder or a license holder that holds a license for the benefit of a partnership or corporation, on application to the Board, a new license shall be issued to:

      1. (i) the surviving spouse;
      2. (ii) the surviving partners for the benefit of the partnership; or
      3. (iii) the senior surviving officer of the corporation for the benefit of the corporation.

   2. (2) The new license shall be issued:

      1. (i) for the balance of the license year; and
      2. (ii) without further proceedings.

2. (b)

   1. (1) A renewal license may be issued to the following if they are qualified to hold the license:

      1. (i) the surviving spouse;
      2. (ii) the surviving partners of a partnership; or
      3. (iii) the senior surviving officer of a corporation for the benefit of the corporation.
   2. (2) The Board may issue a renewal license under this subsection without a hearing.
