The Attorney General of the Commonwealth ofMassachusetts promulgates 940 CMR 9.00 ·relating to Group Health Care Insurers, as defined herein, pursuant to his authority under M.G.L.

1. c. 93A, § 2(c). 940 CMR 9.00 is designed to promote the health and economic well-being of individuals whose health coverage is cancelled without their knowledge after their Group Health Insurance Plan Sponsor has failed to remit required premiums.
