If any provision of 272 CMR 2.00 or the application of any such provision to any person or circumstances, is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of 272 CMR 2.00 that can be given effect without the invalid provision or application. To this end, the provisions of 272 CMR 2.00 are declared to be severable.
