- (A) Conditions of Payment. Assisted living services are covered when the participant requires personal care and supportive services (homemaker, chore, personal care services, and meal preparation) and the availability of 24-hour on-site response capability to meet scheduled or unpredictable resident needs.
- (B) Nonpayable Services. Assisted living services do not cover the cost of room and board, including items of comfort or convenience, or the costs of property or building maintenance, upkeep, and improvement. Assisted living services do not include, and payment will not be made for, 24-hour skilled care. The following waiver services are not available to participants receiving assisted living: residential habilitation and shared living – 24-hour supports.
