Each transitional living program site must be inspected and approved by the MassHealth agency before its use in providing the program. Each site must, at a minimum, meet the following standards.

1. (A) The site must be accessible to and suitable for persons with multiple physical disabilities.
2. (B) The site must comply with the laws and regulations of 521 CMR: Architectural Access Board.
3. (C) There must be documentation of a site inspection and approval by the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety, local fire department, and building inspector, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes, laws, and ordinances.
4. (D) Members’ quarters must be near to and easily accessible from staff and attendant quarters.
5. (E) The site must have an accessible, appropriate telephone or emergency call device located in each bedroom.
