Income from a TAFDC Absent Parent

(A) Income from an absent parent for a child included in the TAFDC assistance unit:
- (1) will continue to be paid to the applicant until the child receives TAFDC benefits; and
- (2) must be paid directly to the Department of Revenue (DOR) when the child begins receiving TAFDC benefits.
- (B) Income from an absent parent: for a child included in the assistance unit received directly by the applicant or client or paid directly to DOR, except for the first $50 received in any month, is countable in the test of eligibility and in determining whether the monthly income of a filing unit exceeds the Need Standard for the assistance unit in accordance with 106 CMR 704.260.
