Each resident shall be provided with a clean, comfortable and fire-retardant mattress in good condition. Mattresses that produce toxic gases when ignited are not allowed. Each mattress shall be renovated or replaced when soiled or when otherwise necessary. Each mattress shall be covered with a material that is easily cleanable, fire-retardant and does not produce toxic gases when burned.
