Education and training release may include, but is not limited to, the types of programs and activities listed in 103 CMR 465.09:

1. (1) Academic Education:

   1. (a) Adult Basic Education (A.B.E.)
   2. (b) English as a Second Language (E.S.L.)
   3. (c) General Education Development (G.E.D.)
   4. (d) Remedial Instruction
   5. (e) High School Courses
   6. (f) College and University Courses

2. (2) Vocational Education:

   1. (a) Agricultural Courses
   2. (b) Trade Courses
   3. (c) Industrial Courses
   4. (d) Home Economics
   5. (e) Business Education Courses
   6. (f) Practical Nursing and Health Services related programs

3. (3) Vocational Training:

   1. (a) Apprentice Training
   2. (b) License Preparation
   3. (c) On-the-job Training
   4. (d) Job Training Partnership Act (J.T.P.A.) Programs

4. (4) Risk Reduction/Transitional Programming:

   1. (a) Substance abuse treatment
   2. (b) Violence reduction
   3. (c) Thinking for a change life skills
   4. (d) Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission Program
   5. (e) Specific disability, physically handicapped programs, or extensive health care programs
   6. (f) Counseling, psychological or psychiatric services for the inmate's emotional and mental health needs
   7. (g) Religious Instruction
5. (5) Diagnostic services and testing necessary for determining the nature and scope of education and training programs suitable for the inmate.
6. (6) Supportive services and activities mandated by an individualized program plan as essential for participation in an education or training program.
