1. A. The Louisiana Historical Records Advisory Board is hereby created in the Department of State.

2. B. The board shall be comprised of fifteen members. The membership of the board shall be:

   1. (1) The secretary of state or his designee who shall be the chairman of the board.
   2. (2) The director of state archives or his designee.
   3. (3) The state librarian or his designee.
   4. (4) One representative selected by the Louisiana Clerks of Court Association.
   5. (5) One representative selected by the Louisiana Municipal Association.
   6. (6) One representative selected by the Police Jury Association of Louisiana.
   7. (7) One representative selected by the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association.
   8. (8) One representative selected by the Louisiana Archives and Manuscripts Association.
   9. (9) One representative selected by the Louisiana Historical Association.

   10. (10) Six members appointed by the secretary of state, each of whom shall be subject to confirmation by the Senate, shall serve a term of office concurrent with the term of office of the secretary of state, and shall have expertise in one or more of the following fields:

       1. (a) Administration of government or university records.
       2. (b) Historical records.
       3. (c) Archives.
3. C. Members of the board shall serve without compensation.
4. D. The board shall meet at regularly scheduled intervals and upon the call of the chairman.
