1. A. The permittee shall plan the location and number of insertion pits and submit the plans in writing for the department’s approval prior to excavation.
2. B. The insertion pits shall be located so that their total number is minimized and the length of replacement pipe installed in a single pull is maximized.
3. C. Repairs under the roadway are prohibited if they necessitates open cutting the roadway. If the permittee experiences difficulty with the crossing, the permittee shall install a new pipe crossing at his sole expense.
