1. A. The Department of Agriculture and Forestry, Office of Forestry, shall, under the direction of the state forester, provide private landowners with assistance in the management of their forestlands.

   1. 1. Basic Services ($300 minimum charge)performed on an as-requested basis in all Office of Forestry districts:

      1. a. prescribed burning services:

         1. i. reforestation (cutover areas):

            1. (a). $35/acre plus fireline establishment: $75/hour for light tractor (dozer) work—650 John Deere (or other brand of similar power) or less;
            2. (b). $110/hour for heavy tractor (dozer) work—750 John Deere (or other brand of similar power);

         2. ii. afforestation (pasture, etc.):

            1. (a). $15/acre plus fireline establishment: $75/hour for light tractor (dozer) work—650 John Deere (or other brand of similar power) or less;
            2. (b). $110/hour for heavy tractor (dozer) work—750 John Deere (or other brand of similar power);

         3. iii. prescribed burns (fuel reduction, hardwood control, wildlife habitat, etc.):

            1. (a). $30/acre plus fireline establishment: $70/hour for light tractor (dozer) work—650 John Deere (or other brand of similar power) or less;
            2. (b). $100/hour for heavy tractor (dozer) work750 John Deere (or other brand of similar power);

         4. iv. onsite prescribed burn standby:

            1. (a). $10/acre plus fireline establishment: $70/hour for light tractor (dozer) work650 John Deere (or other brand of similar power) or less;
            2. (b). $100/hour for heavy tractor (dozer) work750 John Deere (or other brand of similar power);

         5. v. fireline establishment only:

            1. (a). $75/hour for light tractor (dozer) work—650 John Deere (or other brand of similar power) or less;
            2. (b). $110/hour for heavy tractor (dozer) work—750 John Deere (or other brand of similar power).

         6. vi. mechanical fuel reduction:

            1. (a). $200/hour for JD330G Skid Steer (or other brand of similar power

   2. 2. Special Servicesperformed when approved on a case-by-case basis:

      1. a. tree planting (seedlings or seed not included)$46/acre;
      2. b. direct seeding (seedlings or seed not included)$10/acre;
      3. c. $70/hour ($300 minimum) for light tractor (dozer) work—650 John Deere (or other brand of similar power) or less;
      4. d. $100/hour ($300 minimum) for heavy tractor (dozer) work—over 650 John Deere (or other brand of similar power);
      5. e. timber marking$25/acre (only available on 40 acres or less).

   3. 3. Equipment Transportation for Management Services

      1. a. Equipment haul distance within 50 miles of travel: $50/unit, per round trip;
      2. b. Equipment haul distance greater than 50 miles of travel: $100/unit, per round trip.
