LAC 58:IX.305 – Vacancy

A. Should a vacancy occur, the board shall hold a special election as soon as reasonably possible to fill this unexpired seat.
1. 1. If the unexpired term of office for this seat is less than two years from the date the election results are expected, the election shall be for the unexpired term of office and for the next five-year term.
2. 2. If the unexpired term of office for this seat is two years or greater from the date the election results are expected, then the election shall be for the unexpired term of office only.
