1. A. Requests to vary from the rules, regulations and standards for constructing water wells and holes shall be addressed to the department as follows:

2. B. The request must demonstrate that compliance is impractical and must outline a satisfactory alternative. The department may prescribe, in writing, alternate requirements that are equivalent to the regulations and standards stated herein relating to the protection of aquifer and prevention of ground water contamination.

3. C. Requests to vary from the provisions of the State Sanitary Code (LAC 51) relating to the sanitary features of the public supply water systems, and for questions related to the quality of water as it pertains to human health, shall be addressed to the following:
