1. A. The purpose of these Rules is to regulate the activity of certifying, designing, inspecting, installing, integrating, maintaining, selling and servicing of security, household fire warning, stand alone electro/mechanical locking, door hardware, door hardware consultation, bank locking, bank auxiliary, detention locking, gate systems, special locking and closed circuit television equipment and/or systems in the interest of protecting and preserving lives and property pursuant to authority of R.S. 40:1664.1 et seq.
