1. A. Any golf cart operated upon any roadway or municipal street shall be equipped with the minimum motor vehicle equipment appropriate for motor vehicle safety including:

   1. 1. efficient brakes;
   2. 2. reliable steering apparatus;
   3. 3. safe tires;
   4. 4. rear view mirror;
   5. 5. red reflectorized warning devices in both the front and rear of the vehicle;
   6. 6. front and rear turn signal lamps;
   7. 7. tail lamps;
   8. 8. brake lamps;
   9. 9. headlamps;
   10. 10. vehicle identification number or serial number.
2. B. A parish or municipal government may enact an ordinance relating to golf cart operation and may require equipment more extensive than indicated above, however, the list indicated above will be the only equipment required to title the vehicle.
