1. A. Pumping facilities shall be designed to maintain the sanitary quality of pumped water.
2. B. Subsurface pits or pump rooms and inaccessible installations should be avoided.
3. C. No pumping station shall be subject to flooding, unless critical components are protected from damage or contamination by inundation.
